Our Intensive Care Unit provides care for the following: Medical, Surgical, Medical Cardiac, Level 3 Trauma, Neuro Medical/Surgical, Pediatric Intermediate Care, and Detox/Behavioral Health.
Our ICU provides services for critical and intermediate level of care patients with a wide array of medical and surgical diagnoses. This diverse, multidisciplinary team works collaboratively to provide exceptional relationship-based care to those who are acutely ill as well as those facing imminent, end of life issues. Accountability, flexibility, and self-motivation are necessary to thrive in the critical care environment and to be part of this ICU team. Our nurses and physicians on this unit strive to consistently provide the highest quality of care by continuously adopting current evidence-based best practices. The Intensivist model we use includes having a provider on campus from 0700-1900, and then on call during the night hours. We also have a 24/7 collaboration with the Mayo Clinic Rochester’s Enhanced Critical Care Unit. Our leadership utilizes a shared decision-making model and servant leadership to empower staff and encourage continuous growth and development.
