Health Sciences Research
A Research Associate is being sought in the Division of Health Care Systems within the Department of Health Sciences Research. The Research Associate will be involved in the Human Factors Engineering and Systems Integration team which collaborates with clinicians, scientists, and patients to identify and solve critical health care issues. Using scientific engineering methodology, the provider and engineering partnerships solve complex problems and improve quality of life. The successful candidate should have excellent communication skills and the ability to lead projects.
A Research Associate at Mayo Clinic is a temporary transitional role with the primary purpose to allow qualified individuals to work within an established investigator’s program in preparation for an academic and/or independent research career. The ability to perform specialized or complex functions would typically be demonstrated through review of scientific accomplishments, contributions, and peer-reviewed publications averaging at least one per year post doctoral degree. The Research Associate is expected to provide leadership support and training within an established research program.

Must have a Ph.D. degree in a field deemed relevant by the program. Requires research experience at Mayo Clinic or elsewhere with evidence of publications and other scientific accomplishments.
Ph.D. in industrial engineering or related engineering field with special emphasis on ergonomics, especially physical ergonomics.
