We are seeking a post-doctoral fellow to join our highly collaborative and translational research team focusing on understanding the neuroimmune mechanisms that lead to human diabetic and idiopathic gastroparesis. We use a combination of techniques in omics, molecular biology and imaging to determine cellular and molecular defects in enteric neuromuscular apparatus in these patients. We highly prefer a candidate with a PhD in neuroscience, immunology, physiology, or biomedical engineering and a strong interest in working in a team-based laboratory to understand changes and mechanisms in human samples and associating those findings with clinical and physiological metadata. Has basic expertise in the informatics methods used to analyze Omics data (genomics, proteomics and/or metabolomics). Additionally, the candidate must be able to support scientific projects under the supervision of a Lead Informatics person. Develop scripts (python and/or R) to support data management, data extraction and data analysis as required. Contributes to the design of informatics analytical procedures and executes those procedures in the framework of a specific project. Applications, including curriculum vitae and bibliography, highlights of past accomplishments, and the names and email addresses of three references can be submitted to Grover.Madhusudan@mayo.edu.
