Research Fellow - Endocrinology

Position description
A Research Fellow position opening is now available in Endocrinology lab research. The successful post-doctoral candidate will investigate the cell specificity of Rorβ regulation, as well as the influence of miR-219a-5p (among others) on both Rorβ expression and osteogenic activity. These projects will utilize novel in vivo mouse models (already in existence in the lab), and will generate novel in vitro cellular models to further understand the mechanism(s) that both Rorβ and specific miRNAs use to influence bone metabolism.

Candidates must have a Ph.D. degree and experience in mouse handling and manipulation, molecular biology and cell biology, with a preference for prior experience in bone phenotyping (uCt, bone histomorphometry), miRNA- and CRISPR/Cas9-related techniques. Candidates must also be self-motivated and able to function well within a collaborative laboratory environment.
