Position description
A full-time postdoctoral position (Research Fellow) is available at the Multimodal Neuroimaging Lab, led by Dr. Dora Hermes. The position is for an NIH funded project studying the effects of electrical stimulation on network dynamics in the human brain. It involves collecting and analyzing intracranial EEG (iEEG) and MRI data and the project has a strong emphasis on Open Science. You will work in a highly motivated inter-disciplinary team and collaborate with scientists and clinicians.

Individuals with a recent Ph.D. and a background in neuroscience, biomedical engineering, neurobiology or biophysics are encouraged to apply. Evidence of scientific publications and programming experience in Matlab or Python is required. Previous experience with any of the following is desirable: signal processing, computational skills or neuroimaging methods.

Research Fellow at Mayo Clinic:
A Research Fellow at Mayo Clinic is a temporary position intended to provide training and education in research. Individuals will train in the research program of a Mayo Clinic principal investigator. Qualified individuals will demonstrate the potential for research as evidenced by their training and peer-reviewed publications and should become competitive for national research grants. Proof of English proficiency is required for J-1 Short-Term Scholars, Research Scholars, Professors, Specialists, and Student Interns sponsored by Mayo Clinic.     • Relationship to the applicant.

  • Doctoral degree certification, if applicable:
    • Original or notarized copy of diploma or final transcript issued by school (English translation required).
Must have a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent doctoral degree in a field deemed relevant by the program. Research Fellow is appropriate for individuals who have completed no more than one prior postdoctoral fellowship, at Mayo Clinic or elsewhere.
