Research Fellow - Radiology Physics

Position description
A postdoctoral Research Fellow is available in the Department of Radiology. The candidate of choice will work on functional MRI at high field. The research of this position will be conducted on a research-dedicated compact 3T scanner equipped with high performance gradient system in addition to conventional whole-body MR scanners. The technology developed will be translated to a compact, high-performance 7T MR scanner. This position will require experience in functional MRI, MR pulse sequence programming (GE platform preferred), fMRI data analysis. Skills with Matlab and/or C/C++ are highly desired. The candidate must present excellent analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills. Writing of manuscripts for publication, and presentation of results at national and international conferences are required.

A Research Fellow at Mayo Clinic is a temporary position intended to provide training and education in research. Individuals will train in the research program of a Mayo Clinic principal investigator. Qualified individuals will demonstrate the potential for research as evidenced by their training and peer-reviewed publications and should become competitive for national research grants. Proof of English proficiency is required for J-1 Short-Term Scholars, Research Scholars, Professors, Specialists, and Student Interns sponsored by Mayo Clinic. Must have a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent doctoral degree in a field deemed relevant by the program. Research Fellow is appropriate for individuals who have completed no more than one prior postdoctoral fellowship, at Mayo Clinic or elsewhere.
