Position description
Scheduling and Staffing Coordinator develops, finalizes and posts employee schedules based on the requirements of the staffing model established by the Department of Pharmacy. Acquires and maintains current knowledge of the electronic scheduling system, Workforce Timekeeper (WTK), Microsoft Office and other computer applications. Maintains accurate and complete employee schedule records. Troubles shoots and manages scheduling/staffing issues and effectively communicates information to appropriate personnel. Orientates new employees on scheduling and staffing. Manages timekeeping issues. Manages, identifies and facilitates coverage for employee absences to assure sufficient staff is available for patient care. Manages the development and maintenance of scheduling and staffing policies and procedures. Interacts professionally, works collaboratively, and effectively communicates with other pharmacy employees. Uses appropriate problem-solving skills and assumes the responsibility for self-development within the role.
Qualifications
Completion of an associate's degree (Preferred in business or healthcare) and four years pharmacy or staffing scheduling experience; or six years pharmacy or staffing scheduling experience (at least two of the six years must be staffing scheduling experience).

Proficient Microsoft Office skills in Excel and Word. Proficient in keyboarding skills. Ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships with a variety of people. Must be able to demonstrate strong customer service, teamwork and leadership skills. Ability to work independently without direct supervision. Strong verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, decisiveness, and the ability to cope with ambiguous situations. Ability to respond to a variety of requests from department staff in a fast-paced environment. Ability to handle stressful situations, variation in workload peaks, frequent deadlines and interruptions. Exceptional organizational skills, commitment to quality, excellence in service and uses time efficiently. Ability to collect, organize, analyze and summarize data.

Compensation Detail
Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum pay rate is $20.19 per hour.
