This position serves as the senior leader for Mayo Collaborative Services (MCS) Cardiovascular Services (CV) service line. CV Services is one of a family of extramural Mayo Clinic service lines housed under the MCS, LLC corporate structure. The Sr. Director owns vertical responsibility for all direct and cross-functional activities affecting the CV service line. The Sr. Director holds profit & loss (P&L) responsibility and is accountable in conjunction with the MCS Chief Operating Officer (COO) to the MCS Board of Directors on a quarterly basis. The position oversees several primary areas of responsibility: strategy development for CV opportunities, coordination with the leadership of the Mayo Clinic Department of Cardiovascular Medicine, development and oversight of product lines (such as rhythm, rehab, and genetic testing), commercialization of products, oversight of logistical solutions, coordination with Mayo Clinic stakeholders, and coordination with external strategic vendors and partners. For each area of responsibility, the senior director is responsible for initially defining, and then continually improving, processes and leading cross-functional teams through due diligence and execution activities. Activities include developing Board communication and business plans for strategic opportunities, participating in Mayo Clinic clinical committees, serving as liaison to strategic external partnerships, commercializing products, managing staff, managing financial/P&L performance, being visibly connected with MCS CV Services activities, being accountable to and participating as a key member of the MCS executive leadership team representing the CV service line. The position is highly visible within the MCS structure.
Master's degree and ten years of management experience are required. Healthcare experience preferred.
Other required skills include leadership, team management, creativity, excellent communication (written and oral) skills, strong financial analysis, and strategic and innovative thinking capabilities. Must have ability and confidence to effectively function independently, be a self-starter, a team player and have led direct reports in previous positions. Ability to effectively present to internal and external groups at a high level representing the leadership of the organization.
Domestic and international travel required.
This position is based out of your home office. Candidates must live near a major airport.

Health care experience, particularly in the cardiovascular services, Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility (IDTF) and/or CV technology market is preferred. Also preferred are excellent organizational, human relations, presentation, and communications skills as well as excellent decision-making and problem-solving capabilities. Must be accountable, adaptable, flexible, creative, dependable, responsible, and able to perform well within multi-functional environments. Must be able to manage people and projects simultaneously and to exercise appropriate judgment when prioritizing projects while adhering to Mayo Clinic and MCS, LLC policies and procedures.
License or certification
Valid drivers license required.
Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum salary every 2 weeks is approx $6,356.80, based on a full-time position.
