As a member of the Center for Digital Health Product Leadership Team, you will set the vision, strategy, direction, and role of the Consumer Digital Product and Platform strategy organization, which will constitute both digital strategy and analytics teams. You will mentor a dynamic team with a diverse set of capabilities that will be in service of delivering value and partnership across the Mayo Clinic ecosystem in service of Patients, Physicians, Researchers, Educators, and Partners. This position will direct and manage strategy and analytics activities that integrate with Product and Consumer Platform priorities and are in close partnership with priority business partners. This role will be pivotal in driving our agile, digital transformation with industry-leading digital expertise applied to transforming our product and platform ecosystem.
Major Functions/Responsibilities: Provide an overall vision and management to digital strategy and analytics teams. You will mentor, coach, and grow a team of seasoned direct reports. The ideal candidate has demonstrated people management experience with an ability to motivate, lead, and establish a new department, managing through organizational change, and creating quick paths for progress (ability to see opportunities for quick win value in a matrixed and highly complex enterprise). This role will determine staffing needs, recruit, select, and nurture staff to meet goals of the Center for Digital Health. This candidate must have a demonstrated ability to integrate customer and business requirements throughout the digital product management lifecycle, with a focus on defining and managing to organizational value (defined and managed in partnership with Portfolio, Product, and Consumer Platform teams). This role must ensure team has depth of product and platform expertise, applied business strategy acumen, and high aptitude for improving organizational digital literacy that drives business impact.
Financial Responsibility: Adherence to assigned operational budget. Ensures proper levels of staffing to accomplish goals with minimal overhead, including recommendations for staff augmentation and contracted services to expedite development when needed. There must be proper allocation of budget between internal and external staffing to optimize throughput.
Key areas of responsibility include: Transforming business strategies into actionable and value-driven digital strategies, digital analytics leadership, guide integrated digital roadmap development aligned with Center for Digital Health strategy and business partners' needs, drive enterprise digital transformation, support organizational change management, and create a culture of empowered teams.
Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of product management experience with formal product management techniques, tools, and principals involved in planning and delivering new software products and services required.
7+ years of management experience in a software environment, exposure to managing software applied hardware solutions a plus. Ability to communicate effectively with different business units about business requirements, product management process, and technology. Proven track record of building software solutions in the cloud and a deep understanding of cloud computing best practices and consideration for scale, efficiency, and performance. Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical product sets, manage trade-offs, and evaluate innovation needs against product backlogs and strategies is required. Experience navigating transformation in highly regulated industries is a plus. Strong background in strategic product leadership, as stewards for product value, market positioning, user needs, and best in class engineering. Deep experience as a product manager within Agile/SCRUM/Kanban product development approaches and enterprise-scale software development environments is required. High attention to detail including precise and effective customer communications and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously. Experience with P&L accountability and value-driven product measurement.

M-F, day shift. This is a remote position, and may be located anywhere in the U.S., with approximately 25% travel required.
