We are seeking a new member of the largest most comprehensive electronic health record in the world. The SR Application Analyst will be part of our Epic Surgery (Optime) team and responsible for enhancing and supporting our electronic health record across our Mayo enterprise. This is a full time telework position.
This position will play a vital role in the analysis, development and support of the Epic Surgery (Optime) application. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with other Optime analysts as well as other clinical application analysts, leadership, clinical and administrative staff throughout Mayo Clinic to build, test, and support the changes to our current Optime implementation. In addition to these, the successful candidate will gain knowledge of other EHR integrated workflows and technical tools within Epic. Prior EHR experience, understanding of clinical workflows is a plus, but not required.
As a senior application analyst, maintains in-depth knowledge of existing systems and certification in the vended application. Able to design, develop, or modify applications, algorithms, or rules via vendor tools or augmented tools developed within Mayo Clinic and are able to validate data integrity of changes introduced.
Works on strategic projects with a Project Manager and is able to manage small- to mid-sized operational projects independently. Works independently across multiple departments and divisions in order to accomplish goals.
Creates test plans and evaluates current plans for improvement. Guides and advises less experienced business analysts and provides orientation and training for new employees.
Maintains knowledge of current and emerging technologies that directly affect enterprise processes. Maintains awareness of overall enterprise architecture.
The preferred candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in Epic Surgery (Optime) build and support or similar EHR experience. An Epic certification in one of the following areas is preferred: Epic Surgery (Optime) or Epic Anesthesia. Strong analytical and customer service skills are a must. Having experience working in a large, multi-disciplinary medical facility is a plus.
Traveling to other sites and being part of a 24/7 on-call rotation is required.
Bachelor’s Degree with 4 years’ experience OR Associate’s Degree with 6 years’ experience.
Vendor application certification may be required.
Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum salary every 2 weeks is approx $3,318.40, based on a full-time position.
Full Time Telework. Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Required to provide 24/7 on-call support.

This is a full time telework position. Successful candidate will be encouraged to live within a reasonable distance of one of the Mayo Clinic campuses (Rochester, MN; Arizona; Jacksonville, FL, or a health system campus).
