Position description
The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for performing delegated activities to support the operating room and other areas requiring surgical instrumentation. They prepare and deliver medical/surgical supplies, instruments for procedures. The Sterile Processing Technician cleans, packages, and processes surgical equipment and instrumentation, as well as inventory and storage of supplies.
Qualifications
Experience: No previous experience required.
Education: High school graduate or equivalent required.

Additional qualifications
Nursing assistant, Central Supply, clerical or other health care experience preferred.
License or certification
Licensure & Certification: Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) required within 2 years of hire.

Compensation Detail
Minimum rate is $14.61 based upon union contract.
