This position will supervise and direct staff within Patient Access of the Revenue Cycle and Financial Counseling Services, to ensure effective use of employees, equipment & materials within budget & quality standards. Performs tactical planning and carries out strategic plan. Ensures staff has the resources to carry out their responsibilities. Optimizes staff productivity and service; resolves work place problems of staff and processes; develops procedures and guidelines. Possesses the technical knowledge of the function being supervised. Implements retention planning initiatives. Participates in the overall management of Revenue Cycle teams through involvement in Enterprise-wide projects, work groups, task forces, councils, and committees. Serves as liaison between area of responsibility and other constituents inside and outside of Mayo. May require occasional travel.
Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant management experience. Relevant experience includes lead roles, project/committee leadership, and/or supervisor experience.
Possesses PC skills, both keyboarding and applications. Knowledge of and experience with Finance systems and applications preferred.
Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum salary every 2 weeks is approx $2,192, based on a full-time position.
This position will supervisor staff in Hospital Patient Access for Admissions and Emergency Room, which is a 24x7 work unit. Typical hours will be M-F 8am-5pm.
There may be occasional evening and weekend hours based on business need.
