Position description
The Psychiatry and Psychology department is seeking a supplemental NP or PA to help cover vacations, CME, and leaves of absence for our inpatient psychiatry team. The team consists of two inpatient psychiatrists and two NP's who do a 7 on/ 7 off schedule. A physician and a NPPA are always on call to cover inpatient needs and emergency room consults.
Nurse practitioner should possess PMHNP-BC, psychiatry experience strongly preferred.
Physician Assistant is highly encouraged to have CAQ in psychiatry OR have completed a psychiatry fellowship/residency OR psychiatry experience strongly preferred.
License or certification
Candidates must be a Master’s prepared graduate of an accredited school and hold current Minnesota RN and APRN, or PA licensure, or eligible. Certified as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant prior to start date by a national certifying organization accepted by the Minnesota Board of Nursing. This position requires DEA registration. BLS certification required.
