Position description
The Division of Anatomic Pathology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN is seeking an Academic Surgical Pathologist with expertise in Gynecologic (GYN) pathology, to join our practice. The preferred candidate has, or has a very strong interest in developing, a national/international reputation as a GYN pathologist. This position offers numerous opportunities for multidisciplinary collaboration as well as personal career development and advancement. The ideal candidate is an academically productive pathologist with excellent interpersonal skills, and a commitment to multidisciplinary patient care. In addition, candidates should be interested in working to advance the field of GYN pathology through original and collaborative research.

Mayo Clinic is known for its team approach to exceptional medical, surgical, and radiation oncology practice in GYN Oncology spanning its three sites. Physicians work in a multi-disciplinary environment with world renowned faculty in Gynecology, Surgical Specialties, Radiation Oncology, Radiology, and Medical Oncology, providing the best care and novel therapeutic options for patients. Our Anatomic Pathology practice is multispecialty-based and highly complex, encompassing high-volume international consultative practice as well as cases from patients seen at the Mayo Clinic. The successful candidate will join a team of recognized GYN pathologists. Due to our integrated practice model, a second area of interest in anatomic pathology is highly desirable.

The position carries an academic appointment in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine, rank commensurate with experience.

QUALIFICATIONS: Board eligibility or board certification in Anatomic Pathology is required. Completion of a fellowship in GYN pathology is highly valued, but not mandatory. Two years of post-fellowship experience with a track record of academic publications in GYN pathology is preferred.”
