Assists the surgeon during operative procedures by providing appropriate and adequate sterile instrumentation and other supplies. Maintains the surgical field through aseptic practices. Ensures the operating suite is adequately prepared for the procedure. Works under the supervision of the Registered Nurse as a member of the peri-operative team. Monitors the PAR level of surgical instruments and supplies. Actively participates in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement initiatives.
Surgical Technologist program graduate.
Surgical Technologist Certification preferred. AST membership preferred. Certified Endoscope Reprocessor preferred.
Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Willingness to accept new ideas and work under stressful conditions. Basic computer knowledge.
License or certification
Current BLS Certification.
Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum pay rate is $21.95 per hour.
Primarily days with varied start times.
Floating throughout the region will be required to meet the needs of the departments.
Night, weekend, and holiday call required.
