Responsible for effective provisioning, configuration, installation, operation, documentation, training, budgeting and maintenance of unique departmental system hardware and software. Provide system administrator-level support for vended and custom applications. Performs troubleshooting of technical issues related to systems functionality, application development, and data integrity. Works collaboratively with a variety of colleagues to assure that applications are set up appropriately and are available to users as needed.
Provides technical leadership in software development methodologies and selection of information systems. Understands and applies concepts of enterprise architecture to ensure systems align, adhere, and integrate within Mayo IT enterprise environment. Participates to establish technical standards, promote the integration of data, and/or coordination of projects across work units. Serves as an active member of technical workgroups needed to advance project objectives. Aids in technical planning for areas supported by work unit. Monitors external environment for industry best practice and identifies opportunities to support agile workflows and processes. Makes appropriate decisions, with guidance from leadership, regarding complex issues having cross-divisional and/or cross-site impact. This position enables greater effectiveness and efficiency across all sites and the shared service is central to the coordination of access to and utilization of technology resources.
Responsible and accountable for the on-time completion of tasks and projects, demonstrating a commitment to meet established deadlines and priorities. Works independently on projects and assignments within scope of ability and authority escalating more complex issues or those requiring leadership approvals to the appropriate individual. May regularly assume a team leadership role to direct and coordinate the work of other staff, which includes assigning tasks to staff taking into consideration balancing workloads, skill sets, technical knowledge, and criticality of the tasks. Tracks and follows issues through to resolution, including communications to all stakeholders. Identifies and considers both the business and the technical needs of all customers with the goal of providing quality solutions that meet the user needs.
Bachelor's degree and 5 years' experience including 3 years' of demonstrated technical experience and 1 year of demonstrated leadership experience; Or, Associate's degree and 7 years' experience including 3 years' of demonstrated technical experience and 1 year of demonstrated leadership experience.
Exhibits diplomacy, tact, initiative, and organizational skills. Must possess the ability to inspire trust and confidence, communicate effectively with internal and external audiences and demonstrate the ability to maintain outstanding customer relations. Fosters an environment that promotes teamwork within the work team, the department, and among other business partners throughout the institution and externally.
Requires individual who is self-directed, can effectively multi-task, ability to thrive in an unstructured environment, and handles ambiguity well.
Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum salary every 2 weeks is approx $2608.00, based on a full-time position.
8 hour work day Monday - Friday. This position will be a remote worker with some onsite work in Rochester.
