Management Engineering and Consulting
This position enables greater effectiveness and efficiency of the department across all sites and the shared service. Is central to the coordination of access to and utilization of department technology resources (Project Database, Project Library, Dashboards, Balanced Scorecard, Reporting Tools and Web Design—internal and external) for ME&C initiatives. Partners with ME&C leadership, staff and internal groups as well as web application developments in the identification of technical solutions, development, deployment and maintenance of ME&C technology applications. Serves as primary coach and trainer for ME&C staff using the Project Life Cycle as well as the development and maintenance of documents and tools related to the process. Monitors external environment for industry best practice and identifies opportunities to support agile workflows and processes. Contributes to the design, development and implementation of software meeting unique departmental needs (e.g. Business Intelligence applications, Crystal Reports, SharePoint 365). Enables agile software and technology-related implementations. Identifies, monitors and addresses web traffic trends to meet the needs of the department. Incorporates digital technology advances into ME&C work.
Individuals interested in the position must be able and willing to make a commitment to remain in the position for a minimum of two years.
Bachelor’s Degree and one year of Mayo Clinic experience preferred. Associate’s Degree in computer science, information systems, or related field plus two years’ demonstrated technical experience in computer operations required. This position requires strong communication skills (both oral and written) via phone, electronically, through documentation and in one-on-one and group discussions. The position requires excellent interpersonal communication skills, a strong understanding of multiple computer platforms and software, web tools and applications, the ability to make quick and concise decisions and effective organization and time management skills. This position requires the understanding and use of HTML and must possess a strong aptitude for learning new computer skills and techniques.
Must be self-directed, have an affinity for technology and be results oriented and solution driven. Must possess high-level skill in organization, interpersonal relations, excellent written and oral communication skills, and have the ability to prioritize and handle a variety of tasks simultaneously. Must demonstrate good decision-making and judgment as well as attention to detail and follow-through. Application of innovative ideas and solutions required. Must be able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment. Experience with Crystal Reports, Database design and maintenance, WordPress, SharePoint and familiarity with SQL and Python preferred.
Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum salary every 2 weeks is approximately $2,027.20, based on a full-time position.
Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
