To gain understanding and experience on developing, implementing and evaluating programs and services to meet the needs of residents. Some tasks may include conducting assessments, program planning & implementation, and participating in other Charter House Recreation Therapy Program events and activities.
Candidates should be actively enrolled in pursuit of a Recreation Therapy undergraduate degree.
Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work well independently and in a group setting.
Must be comfortable working with older adults.
This is an unpaid internship with no stipend.
This is an unpaid internship that must be a minimum of 15 weeks, but may be increased to meet school requirements.
The intern will typically work 30-40 hours per week Monday through Friday; 8 hour shifts between 7:00 am - 5:00 pm
Will rotate with staff covering weekends.
