Emergency Medical Dispatchers
Emergency Medical Dispatchers answer approximately 60 – 80 community 911 calls on average per day, where we provide pre-arrival instructions to those experiencing a medical emergency. Our Emergency Medical Dispatcher certification gives us a protocolized framework to offer assistance by phone, and it can include instructions for basic interventions like CPR, Narcan administration, bleeding control, assistance with pregnancy complications and childbirth, etc.

Aviation Team
Our Aviation Team operates four helicopters and a fixed wing plane, delivering rapid, life-saving transport for critically ill or injured patients across multiple locations. Training & Educations Programs
Emergency Medicine Paramedic Program (Minnesota)
The 20-month Emergency Medicine Paramedic Program is offered in collaboration between Mayo Clinic, Mayo Clinic Ambulance, and Rochester Community and Technical College (RCTC) in Rochester, Minnesota. It is designed to prepare you for a career as a paramedic. Mayo Clinic's large medical practice allows you to learn from the best, have access to a wide variety of resources, and gain hands-on experience in a variety of clinical and field rotations. Program highlights - Hands-on clinical experiences and rotations in specialized areas, access to resources that only Mayo Clinic can provide, and outcome statistics that prove success with 100% of graduates finding a job after graduation.
Emergency Medical Technician – In Training (Minnesota)
The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)-in-Training is a paid training position designed to prepare candidates to successfully pass the National Registry of EMTs exams to become a certified EMT. Upon successful completion of the training program, applicants would be eligible to apply for a full-time position with Mayo Clinic Ambulance at designated Mayo Clinic sites. The application window, along with additional information, is typically published in January.
