Mayo Clinic Florida SRNA Fellowship
As you prepare for your third and final year of the Nurse Anesthesiology Program at the University of North Florida (UNF), Mayo Clinic is excited to announce a brand new, exclusive fellowship program just for UNF SRNAs.
Up to five fellows will be accepted each year, receiving a tuition scholarship, increased hands-on experience at Mayo Clinic Florida, and an employment opportunity following graduation. Applications for our inaugural class are due November 29, 2024.
SRNA Fellowship Details
Benefits:
- A scholarship for up to $35k towards tuition and fees for your third year at UNF
- Hands-on learning and relationship building opportunities with world-renowned experts at Mayo Clinic
- Employment opportunity as a full-time CRNA at Mayo Clinic's Jacksonville campus upon graduation (2-year employment agreement)
Qualification Criteria:
- You must be a Year 2 SRNA matriculating into your 3rd year at UNF
- Have Florida residency (for tuition purposes)
- Be enrolled full-time, completing at least 18 hours for your final academic year
- Maintain a GPA of 3.0 or above
Life as a Mayo Clinic CRNA
As a Mayo Clinic SRNA Fellow, you will transition to a full-time Mayo Clinic CRNA within four months of graduation. After an abbreviated orientation process, you'll become an integral part of our tight-knit team and enjoy job security at the #1 hospital in Florida.
And life as a Mayo Clinic CRNA is pretty great! Your day-to-day includes:
- Working in our growing, multispecialty practice, including heart, lung, liver, kidney and pancreas transplants, cardio-thoracic surgery, neurosurgery, surgical oncology, and orthopedics, among others. No obstetrics, pediatrics, or trauma assignments
- 8, 10, 12, 16-hour shifts, with no in-house call, and minimal overnight and weekend call requirements
- Using the latest, state-of-the-art anesthesia equipment, including new Drager anesthesia machines, in-room pyxis, and glides scopes, as well as access to our 9,500 square foot simulation lab with advanced capabilities
