Responsibilities
The Minnesota Mayo Clinic Health System Division of Psychiatry and Psychology is seeking supplemental NPs or PAs to help cover vacations, CME, and leave of absences for our inpatient NP/PA psychiatry team. The team consists of inpatient psychiatrists and NP/PAs who work a 7 on/ 7 off schedule. A physician and a NPPA are always on-call to cover inpatient needs and emergency room consults. This NP/PA would assist with covering inpatient units in Albert Lea, MN and Mankato, MN. Either virtually or in person or in a hybrid fashion.
This candidate should have strengths in pharmacological and nonpharmacological management of psychiatric conditions. Should also have strengths in patient interviewing/history taking along with strong communication skills for care coordination.
Qualifications
Nurse Practitioner: Masters prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current Minnesota RN and APRN license and certification as a FNP or ANP. Doctorate preferred. Strongly prefer PMHNP-BC.
Physician Assistant: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and licensure as a PA by the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice. Strongly prefer CAQ in psychiatry.
Must be eligible for DEA registration and billing privileges.
BLS certification required.
Additional Qualifications:
Required: 2 years of experience as a Psychiatric Advanced Practice Provider with at least 1 year in-patient Behavioral Health direct patient care.
