This is a unique opportunity for a strategic and forward-thinking leader to shape the future of healthcare facility operations. In this role, you’ll lead a high-impact department responsible for the full lifecycle of facility management — from design and construction to maintenance and environmental services. Your work will directly support clinical care, research, and education in a dynamic and evolving environment.
Responsibilities:
- Set the strategic vision and direction for the department, guiding daily operations, long-term initiatives, and professional standards.
- Oversee facility design, construction, maintenance, and environmental services to protect and enhance physical plant assets.
- Lead the integration of AI and automation to drive innovation, efficiency, and a high standard of service delivery.
- Build strong external partnerships with leaders in design, construction, and emerging tech to support the development of next-generation healthcare facilities.
- Manage operating budgets and align staffing to organizational priorities and workload demands.
- Collaborate closely with administrative and physician leadership to ensure facilities are aligned with institutional goals across practice, research, and education.
- Champion leadership development within the department to support succession planning and long-term organizational strength.
- Establish and maintain a Category of One service delivery model that elevates facility operations as a true strategic enabler.
Qualifications
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree required, with a Master's degree in a related professional field preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 10 years’ relevant professional and senior administrative experience in Facilities and/or AI/Automation required. Healthcare experience preferred.
COMPETENCY: Requires an understanding of campus planning, building design, construction, facilities operations, environmental services, and engineering. Also have expertise in the integration and application of AI and automation technologies in facilities management. Must possess strong communication, writing, team building, finance, mentoring, and interpersonal skills.
