Responsibilities

The Neuroradiology Division of the Department of Radiology at Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, AZ seeks an ABR, Neuroradiology Subspecialty-Certified radiologist to join a growing subspecialty-focused division. The ideal candidate is an early – mid career academic diagnostic neuroradiologist with experience in advanced neuroimaging techniques (MR Perfusion, MR Spectroscopy, high-field MRI, CTA/CT perfusion, dual energy CT). Our new colleague will enjoy an academic 100% neuroradiology position prioritizing clinical care, while offering research and education opportunities. The division consists of a diverse, progressive team of fifteen diagnostic neuroradiologists interpreting MRI, CT, and radiographic examinations and performing diagnostic and therapeutic CT and fluoroscopic guided procedures for adult patients. Our comprehensive practice includes collaborative research and educational opportunities in the areas of spine, stroke, epilepsy, brain tumor, neurodegenerative and head and neck imaging. The position will not entail any endovascular procedures.

The Department of Radiology emphasizes high quality patient care and maintains an excellent working relationship with other disciplines. Candidates must be interested in a collaborative team-based practice and be willing to work closely with our colleagues in neurosurgery, physical medicine & rehabilitation, oncology, otolaryngology, and neurology. The Neuroradiology Division enjoys strong allied health, medical physics, and administrative support.

The Department of Radiology at Mayo Clinic Arizona consists of 71 radiologists, 5 physicists, 20 residents and 9 fellows with an approved current residency program expansion towards 32 residents. Plans are also underway for a Neuroradiology fellowship program consisting of 2 fellows per year.

The Mayo Clinic prioritizes cutting-edge equipment, which currently includes an array of 14 clinical MRI scanners and 1 dedicated research MR scanner (12 of which are 3 Tesla, one 3T PET/MRI, one 3T intraoperative MRI, one clinical/research 7 Tesla MRI scanner); 2 PET/CT scanners; and 10 CT scanners (one photon-counting CT, and one interventional CT scanner). Continued expansion is planned, including 2 more photon-counting CTs and a 0.6 T ultra-low-field MRI.
