Supervisor - Patient Support

The Supervisor position assumes responsibility for the daily operations of a designated scheduling group, including direct supervision of Appointment Specialists and/or Schedulers within that group. Other responsibilities include providing continuous scheduling technical and quality assurance resolution to patient/department complaints, ensuring departmental quality, serving as a representative on varying leadership committees/projects, handling HR forms and consultations including corrective action, completing performance appraisals, interviewing candidates for open positions, organizing staff meetings and completing bi-weekly timekeeping for staff. 

The position manages the personnel and workflow of the area including staffing, coaching and development, optimization of area productivity and service, problem resolution and policy development and implementation. Standards must be developed and monitored as procedures evolve. 

The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span. The ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and appropriately interpret information relative to the patient's age specific need is required.

High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred. Must have demonstrated leadership, communication (oral and written), self-initiative, and problem-solving ability. Must be highly organized, efficient, and able to work independently. Requires human relations and customer service skills to influence and motivate others. Demonstrate patience and the ability to effectively coach and mentor others. Ability to work as a team member, take direction from others, and initiate and manage projects. Experience with spreadsheet preparation, data collection/management/analysis, and creation of graphs/charts and presentation slides.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft OneNote is required. 

Priority will be given to candidates with extensive experience leading scheduling and contact center operations.
