Our surgeons have multiple opportunities for research in these fields which span the range of clinical, translational, and basic science.  In parallel, opportunities for academic achievement in the realm of education and innovation also exist. Our center has significant infrastructure and the collaborative atmosphere to support our surgeon’s professional pursuits in these domains.  Mayo Clinic is among the leading cancer care providers in the United States and is a distinguished academic medical center.  The three shields of the Mayo Clinic represent clinical practice, education, and research.  The ideal candidate for this position is an excellent clinical breast surgeon or breast and melanoma surgeon with a passion for providing superlative clinical care while pursuing research, innovation and/or educational achievement.  We extend this opportunity to a board-certified or board-eligible general surgeon who has successfully completed fellowship training in breast surgical oncology or complex general surgical oncology.
