What You’ll Do
- Deliver person-centered nursing care in alignment with Mayo Clinic standards.
- Monitor and manage residents’ health needs across multiple care settings.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure resident safety and well-being.
- Accurately document skilled interventions to reflect clinical judgement and resident needs.
*This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship; Also, Mayo Clinic DOES NOT participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must meet the following qualifications.
- Graduate of an Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) accredited associate's degree or diploma program.
*If graduated from a nursing program that was not accredited by ACEN, at least one year of RN experience (within the last five years) in an applicable care setting is required.
*If graduation did not occur within the last two years, one year of RN experience in an applicable care setting or one year of current LPN experience at Mayo Clinic is required. Minnesota Registered Nurse License.
License/Certification
- Active Minnesota Registered Nurse License
- Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification for Health Care Providers
*Must be certified by one of the following providers: American Heart Association, Red Cross, or Military Training Network.
Additional Qualifications
- One year of work experience in Long Term Care or Home Health or two years of acute care nursing is preferred.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment and prioritize resident needs.
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong commitment to teamwork, communication, and resident-centered care.
- Excellent communication and human relation skills to interact with Health Service and Charter House staff.
- Strong problem-solving skills are necessary with the ability to collect, compare, sort and prioritize information to be used in the decision-making process for groups of residents and employees.
- Ability to adapt to unpredictable situations and stress.
- Works flexible hours, which may include days, evenings, nights, holidays and weekends.

- Evaluation must be completed by an organization listed as a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) (www.naces.org) or the Association of International Credential Evaluators, Inc. (AICE) (www.aice-eval.org).
