Responsibilities
Join our team as a dedicated and passionate social worker. In this crucial role, you will be instrumental in patient care by conducting diagnostic assessments, developing clinical interventions, facilitating crisis intervention and psychotherapy, and educating patients and their families. You will also function as a multidisciplinary team member, serving as a resource to other allied and administrative staff within the Section of Social Work and the Department of Nursing.
Qualifications
Candidates for this position are required to possess a Master's in Social Work (MSW) degree, along with one of the licenses detailed below.
Additional Qualifications
Successful candidates will demonstrate strong psychosocial diagnostic skills and advanced knowledge of mental illness, personality development, and knowledge of psychiatric treatment. This role requires the ability to conduct individual, group, and family therapy, utilizing strong human relations skills to effectively interact with patients, patients' family members, all members of the treatment team, and community agencies. Knowledge of adjustment to medical diagnosis and chronic disease is also required.
Licensure/Certifications
Licensure from the Minnesota Board of Social Work (MN BOSW) is required at the Licensed Graduate Social Work (LGSW), Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW), Provisional LGSW, or Provisional LICSW levels. For LGSW/LISW personnel, following 4,000 hours of clinically supervised practice, eligibility to apply for LICSW licensure is expected, with attainment required by 8,000 hours. Employment at the LGSW/LISW level necessitates clinical practice under a MN BOSW-approved Clinical Supervision Plan, leading to LICSW attainment within 8,000 hours of employment post LGSW or LISW.
Valid driver's license required for specific areas.

Schedule Details
Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. As this is a 0.8 FTE position, there will be a standard day off per week.
Weekend Schedule
Weekend rotation is required. Staff should anticipate working 6-8 weekends per year.
