What You'll Do
As a Trained Medication Aide (TMA) at Charter House you will work under the supervision of a licensed nurse, to use your knowledge and skills in medication administration. You will partner with staff to ensure consistent, quality service to meet the needs and goals of Health Center residents. Responsibilities include:
- Providing medication in a timely manner.
- Interact politely and professionally with residents, families, visitors, and staff.
**This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship with the exception of the TN visa classification; Also, Mayo Clinic DOES NOT participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must meet the following qualifications.
- Must be 18 years old.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of Medical Administration course.
Licensure
- Nursing Assistant Certification is required and must be listed on the MN Nurse Aide Registry.
Additional Qualifications
- Experience working with geriatric population is preferred.
- Ability to work under the supervision of licensed staff.
- Excellent communication and human relations sills to interact with Health Service and Charter House staff.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to adapt to unpredictable situations and stress.
- Flexibility to work all hours which could include days, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends.

International Degrees
- A detailed equivalency evaluation is required, demonstrating a U.S. equivalent degree.
- Evaluation must be completed by an organization listed as a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) (www.naces.org) or the Association of International Credential Evaluators, Inc. (AICE) (www.aice-eval.org).
