Responsibilities
Mayo Clinic Health System Gastroenterology includes locations from across Southern Minnesota, Southwest and Northwest Wisconsin serving approximately 600,000 unique patients annually.
Our Southwestern Wisconsin La Crosse location has an exciting opportunity for a Board Certified/Board Eligible Gastroenterologist, to join our multi-specialty practice focusing on quality, outcomes, and compassion. Mayo Clinic Health System Gastroenterology has a strong integration with the Division of Gastroenterology at Mayo Clinic-Rochester, MN, which may provide opportunity for a blended clinical, consultative, research, teaching activities.

This position is located in La Crosse Wisconsin. The selected candidate would join an established group of up to 6 Gastroenterologists and 5 Nurse Practitioners/Physician Assistants providing gastroenterology services in a physician-led, stable organization, committed to high quality patient care and satisfaction.
Based in the diverse patient needs, General Gastroenterology care will be required although practice is open to additional areas of interest. Areas of sub-specialty interest include motility, hepatology, inflammatory bowel disease, and pancreas.
The practice includes a strong surgical, cancer, and radiology specialties who work collaboratively within the region and across Mayo Clinic to support the needs of our patients.
La Crosse is a community setting with short commutes and easy access to larger cities such as Rochester, MN, or the Twin Cities. The La Crosse regional practice provides more than 380,000 outpatient visits with 4,400 hospital admissions from west-central Wisconsin, southeastern Minnesota, and northeastern Iowa. The facility will feature a new 96-bed hospital that is scheduled to open in 2024.
Mayo Clinic Health System La Crosse is an award-winning practice including the most recent "A" grade for patient safety by Leapfrog Group's Hospital Safety Score and holds various U.S. News Best Hospital awards for 100 Best Hospitals high performing ranking awards, as well as those specifically in Gastrointestinal Care and Gastrointestinal Surgery. In addition, our facilities hold 5-star rantings for overall hospital quality and numerous other Patient Safety Excellence award.
Our Practice Features:
- Gastroenterology Endoscopy and Clinic practice and hospital consultative service with well-established hospitalist program.
- Clinic, endoscopy suite, and hospital all located in one location, as well as, Radiology including MRI, CT, fluoroscopy, nuclear medicine with interventional radiology services and Infusion center on-site.
- Integrated EMR and imaging system across all locations allowing seamless coordination of care across specialties and GI locations.
- Dedicated physician workstation in procedure locations, linked to integration system.
- Collegial relationships and collaborations with gastroenterologists at Mayo Clinic across our practices in Rochester, Western Wisconsin, and Southern Minnesota.

Qualifications
