Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a dedicated, highly skilled, and experienced Medical Secretary to join our prestigious clinic located in Central London. As a Medical Secretary, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional support to patients and physicians, ensuring a smooth and efficient clinic operation. Manage all aspects of medical secretarial duties and effective clinic management support to include:

  • Consultants’ schedule and appointments 
  • Handling patient enquiries and correspondence
  • Handling enquiries from referrers, hospitals, and other healthcare practises
  • Preparing and managing medical reports and letters
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Liaise with patients, consultants, and other clinic users, providing exceptional customer support
  • Collaborate with consultants to ensure timely delivery of test results and handle correspondence requiring attention.
  • Perform additional administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and posting letters.
  • Identifying areas for practice improvement and efficiency
  • Assisting in the implementation of new technologies and processes


Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a medical secretary, preferably in cardiology or general practice
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, experience in Cerner and Meddbase would be an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Attention to detail, ability to maintain confidentiality, and handle sensitive information discreetly
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • High attention to detail
  • A caring and sympathetic approach towards patients and colleagues 
  • Flexibility and a willingness to contribute beyond the core responsibilities of the role
  • Knowledge of Arabic language would be a plus
