Responsibilities
Mayo Clinic is in search of CRNAs with cardiac experience, 2+ years preferred but willing to train. Come join Mayo Clinic Arizona’s specialty CRNAs on the cardiac team. CRNAs on this team will orient to all cases, but specialize in cardiac, complex thoracic, complex vascular, heart and lung transplantation. Specialty cases will consist of pump cases for bypass, valve replacement, Ventricular Assist Devices, and heart transplantation. Cardiac CRNAs cover structural heart cases in Cath Lab consisting of LAA closures, TAVRs and mitral clips. Cardiac CRNAs also cover high risk cardiac patients for non-cardiac surgery in a variety of settings. CRNAs are staffed using the ACT model with a 1:1 or 2:1 ratio with cardiac anesthesiologists for specialty cardio-thoracic cases.

Innovation – We are excited to expand our Transplant Center by launching a Lung Transplant Program in Arizona, with transplant evaluations beginning in Summer 2024 with the first transplant anticipated in Fall 2024. Mayo Clinic in Arizona performs over 800 solid organ transplants annually. It will complement the well-established kidney, pancreas, liver, and heart transplant programs.

Qualifications
This position requires a registered nurse who has completed a formal program in nurse anesthesia. A minimum of a Master’s degree required.
A Doctoral (DNP, DNAP, DrAP, PhD) degree preferred.
CRNAs with 2+ years Cardiothoracic experience strongly preferred.
