Responsibilities

Will be required to provide services and support to operate, maintain, repair and diagnose complex, critical mechanical/plumbing systems and equipment related to building infrastructure. Will demonstrate experience and skill in the following but to not limited to brazing, soldering, Pro-Press, snaking with multiple size machines. Maintains and repairs plumbing systems: variety of faucets manual/automatic, mixing valves, diverters assemblies, kitchen equipment, flushometers, secondary pumps, and water closets. Reads and understands blueprints drawings in order to perform work related responsibilities. Interfaces with vendors/contractors to facilitate plumbing system repairs or replacements. Coordinates and manages related infrastructure projects and works closely with other facilities staff, contractors and vendors. Completes preventative maintenance per policies and/or procedures. Utilizes a computer to interact with the Computer Maintenance Management Program (CMMP) to receive, track and close-out work orders. Technicians may be required to perform other job duties as assigned. Serves as a resource and mentor to others. Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills, assertiveness, professionalism, mutual respect, and versatility in responding to customer needs. Plans, organizes, and prioritizes work tasks. Works with others in planning and scheduling for modifications and repairs to systems with minimal disruption to the mission of the organization while meeting fiscal constraints. Available to work occasional overtime. On-call rotation may be required. May be required to drive a Mayo vehicle.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED. 8 Years of trade specific experience working with plumbing and mechanical systems related to building infrastructure. Demonstrates abilities to operate, maintain, repair and diagnose complex, critical plumbing systems and equipment related to building infrastructure. Experience working in a healthcare facility is preferred. Valid Arizona driver's license and a satisfactory motor vehicle record. City of Phoenix Plumbing/Gas Fitter Journeyman License or equivalent. ASSE 5110 Backflow prevention tester certified and ASSE 5130 Backflow prevention rebuilder certified or able to obtain this within a 6 month timeframe established at the time of hire.

Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.; $28.40 - $42.61 / hour.
