Responsibilities
Mayo Clinic is seeking a fellowship-trained Rhinology and Anterior Skull Base Surgeon to join our talented and multi-faceted Department of Otolaryngology in Rochester, MN. Mayo Clinic is top-ranked in more specialties than any other hospital and has been recognized as an Honor Roll member according to U.S. News & World Report's 2024-2025 "Best Hospitals" rankings.
The qualified candidate will join three experienced rhinology and skull base surgeons. The 20 surgeon department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery which focuses on world-class patient centric tertiary care.
The opportunity offers the appropriate person with considerable clinical, academic, teaching, and leadership experience:
- To work with fellowship trained endoscopic neurosurgeons and oculoplastic surgeons in an anterior skull base practice
- To provide multidisciplinary medical and surgical management of rhinologic diseases in collaboration with our colleagues in Allergy, Pulmonary and Rheumatology
- To manage patients with sinonasal malignancies, along with a multidisciplinary team including head and neck oncologic surgeons, radiation oncologists, medical oncologists and neurosurgeons.
- Participation in the rhinology/skull base fellowship and resident training
- Supportive team-based environment with rhinologic partners and advanced practice providers
- Research and innovation support and time

- The opportunity to work one-on-one in a mentorship and educational role with Mayo Clinic residents in an apprenticeship model that has been in existence since the inception of the Mayo Graduate Education Program.

- The clinic has the capability for multidisciplinary clinical care, education, and research with neurosurgery and allergy colleagues.
- St. Mary’s Hospital is a 1,265 bed hospital with 70 operating rooms fulfilling all needs for inpatient and outpatient pediatric and adult surgery.

Qualifications
Candidates must possess:
- MD or MD/PhD degree from an accredited institution
- American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery Certification
- Eligibility for licensure in the state of Minnesota
- Fellowship training in an accredited rhinology fellowship

Compensation Detail
The minimum starting salary range for surgical specialties may range from $279,000 to $814,000. This range reflects full-time total base compensation prior to consideration of additional experience or duties. Pay for the selected candidate may vary based on specialty, experience, FTE, internal equity, or external market data.
