Responsibilities
Works in conjunction with Mayo Clinic Rochester leaders, medical staff and allied health staff to facilitate education regarding emerging and market driven trends in healthcare accreditation and regulatory processes. Provides education and consultation regarding healthcare quality, and interpretation of regulations and accreditation standards, with an emphasis on hospital, ambulatory, behavioral health, and disease specific care certification standards and/or regulations. Assists in facilitating an integrated organizational approach to assessing and meeting regulatory requirements and process improvements. Supports and facilitates coordination of regulatory surveys for the outpatient and inpatient practice.
Qualifications
Required: Bachelor's degree in Healthcare field with three years management experience in healthcare, project management, or lead responsibilities; Master's Degree (MBA, MA, MS, MPH)preferred; ability to communicate and work successfully with other leaders, medical staff, and allied health staff; expertise in evaluation techniques, and ability to organize information from a variety of sources and communicate it in a meaningful way. Strongly preferred: clinical background with good understanding of data management and statistics, experience in accreditation processes, quality improvement methodology, and facilitation skills.
Accrediting and regulatory bodies: State of Arizona, State of Florida, State of Minnesota, American College of Radiology, American College of Surgeons/Commission on Cancer, American Society of Clinical Oncology/Quality Oncology Practice Initiative, and others as identified.
