Responsibilities
Provides assistance to Mayo Medical Center Patients arriving or departing from Rochester International Airport. Provides wheelchair assistance as requested by airport personnel. Provides medical center Information or assists with hotel arrangements and ground transportation as requested. Works closely with Airport Security and other airport personnel to provide support for medical emergencies or to secure suitable arrangements for fragile patients. Provides assistance to medical center staff arriving or departing from the Rochester Airport, as appropriate.
Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Previous hospital or clinical experience is preferred. Knowledge of computers and medical center patient information systems is helpful. Must be able to work independently. Requires good communication and human relation skills to interact with patients, guests and airport personnel. Strong problem solving skills are necessary. Must be able to adapt to unpredictable situations and stress. Works varied hours which may include days, evenings, days/evenings, holidays and weekends with rotating days off.
This is a FAA safety sensitive position that requires passing a Federal level background screen.
