Responsibilities

The Associate Administrator for Enterprise Access Transformation will partner with the newly established Access Transformation physician leader to realize Mayo Clinic’s vision for access which is to:

Lead the future of healthcare by providing seamless access to expertise and care for those who need us most by pioneering predictive, innovative solutions that remove barriers, enhance engagement and steward resources. 

The Associate Administrator will deliver a transformed patient-centered access experience in collaboration with key stakeholders including site executive and practice leaders, the Mayo Clinic Outpatient Practice Subcommittee, the Enterprise Office of Access Management, the Center for Digital Health, Generative AI and Automation and Business Development teams, aligned with Mayo Clinic’s Bold. Forward. strategic plan. 

The Associate Administrator will be responsible to reimagine and redesign access models, leveraging next-generation technologies and innovative approaches to create a future-ready, holistic and dynamic experience centered on patients.  The Associate Administrator will collaboratively establish long-term change for patient access operations through developing new systems, processes and capabilities that evolve with patient and care team needs.  The Associate Administrator is adept at managing large-scale and complex projects with significant organizational impact and is skilled at leading in a highly matrixed organization. Serves as a key member of the enterprise Practice leadership team to define transformation capabilities and establish a roadmap and implementation plan under the oversight of Access Executive Leadership Team, which is comprised of enterprise Practice leaders and site CAOs. 



Qualifications

A master’s degree in business or health care administration required; a minimum of five years of significant leadership and management experience is required. Leadership and management experience must include a demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment with physicians and allied health staff in a variety of assignments. Must have proven competencies in leadership, management, operations and finance, as well as excellent communication skills.  Broad-based upper management experience is required in order to coordinate a wide range of activities across the organization. Must have deep knowledge of Mayo Clinic strategic priorities and broad understanding of institutional strengths and weaknesses pertinent to realizing Mayo Clinic’s priorities.

Must have experience leading large-scale transformation of clinical operations. Candidate must be within travel distance of one the Mayo Clinic sites, Rochester-based location preferred.
