Responsibilities
The Chang Lab (https://www.mayo.edu/research/faculty/chang-connie-b-ph-d/bio-20538304) focuses on the applications of droplet microfluidics for projects funded by multiple federal and foundation sources. The central focus of the Chang laboratory at Mayo Clinic is understanding biological phenomena at the single-cell level. Our goal is to develop drop-based microfluidic technologies that can improve medical diagnostics and clinical treatments for patients. Current research projects include the study of bacterial-immune cell interactions, single cell viral sequencing, microfluidic culturomics applied to the gut microbiome, microfabrication of novel devices, hydrogel synthesis, development of diagnostic platforms, cancer therapeutics, and infectious disease diagnostics.
