Responsibilities
Manages the daily operations of the Parking and Enforcement work units. Plans, organizes, supervises, and coordinates the activities within Practice Operations. Develops and maintains a customer-focused and efficient work unit that supports parking and transportation. Supports the movement of patients and employees across to and from Mayo Clinic facilities in Rochester, MN. Provides budgetary input, oversees the purchase of supplies and equipment, initiates service agreements, and manages the work unit's budgetary targets. Communicates effectively with customers to coordinate and resolve problems before they become a crisis. Ensures compliance with all institutional and division policies/procedures. Continuously examines work processes and data to improve efficiencies, outcomes, and service. Regulates staffing in accordance with fluctuating workload. Directs and monitors workload to consistently meet patient/customer needs. Acts as the primary change agent for staff and is the voice of the customer.
Coaches, mentors, and develops team members and self to strengthen skills providing opportunities for professional growth. Provides orientation and training to new and current team members. Participates in various personnel actions including performance appraisals, corrective actions, and timecards. Participates in department and Mayo Clinic committees, sub-committees, or task forces. Maintains compliance and knowledge of standards outlined by regulatory agencies (Joint Commission, OSHA, ERTKA, FDA, ADA, etc.) and job-related skills. Utilize and effectively interacts with Division and Mayo Clinic support resources. Takes on the leadership role in emergency and mass casualty situations to ensure patient services are readily available. Continuously seeks to improve management skills and practices.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in transportation, planning, engineering, or business-related field with 3yrs of experience supervising/leading diverse teams or Associate's degree in business related field and 5 years' experience supervising/leading diverse teams OR High School diploma/GED and 7 years’ experience supervising/leading diverse teams. Demonstrated skills in public speaking, customer service, allocation of staffing resources, quality management, improvement methodology, consensus management, and project management required. Must be able to demonstrate team building and the ability to motivate large work groups while initiating and managing change. Demonstrated leadership, problem solving, continuous improvement, customer service, analytical experience, strong communication, project management, and team building skills required. Demonstrated experience with a variety of computer systems (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) required. Possesses PC skills, both keyboarding and applications as applicable.
Additional Qualifications:
Preferred certifications: Certified Parking Professional (CAP), Certified Administrator of Public Parking (CAPP), Transportation Demand Management Certified Professional (TDM-CP), Professional Transportation Planner (PTP), and/or American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP).
