Responsibilities
Mayo Clinic Health System Decorah Clinic Physicians (MCHS DCP) at WinnMed is seeking a full time board certified/board eligible urologist to join an established and collegial practice in Decorah, Iowa. Successful candidates should possess excellent clinical skills. You may expect a busy practice in a physician-led, financially stable organization committed to both high quality care and patient satisfaction.
Candidates must be board-certified/board eligible in Urology. Surgeons must have training/experience and qualified skills in areas of urological surgery. Fellowship training is not required to apply. The urologist will be responsible for providing clinic-based consultations and surgical procedures in the hospital. The patient population may involve patients of all ages but the majority of patients will be age 16 and up.
Potential candidates should expect the breadth of general urology with potential to include robotics in the future. Current arrangement is set to support endoscopic, laparoscopic, and minor open cases. The practice is dedicated to providing state of the art equipment and technology to our surgeons so they can provide the highest level of care to our patients.
- The urology team is lead by the full time urologist in partnership with a highly skilled advanced practice provider and a dedicated nursing team.
- Potential outreach to surrounding communities.
- Thriving practice with well-established referral resources, lending to growth in general urology practice and/or niche interests.
- Schedule includes dedicated OR block time and Clinic time.
- Call Obligations: 8 days, plus 1 weekend per month. There is not 24/7 coverage for Urology at this location.
- Position employed by Mayo Clinic, located at WinnMed, which is the 2nd largest Critical Access Hospital in Iowa.
