Responsibilities
The Department of Neurology at Mayo Clinic Arizona is recruiting one Postdoctoral Research Fellow to work on diverse problems within neurology and neuroscience. The fellow will be mentored by Dr. Oana Dumitrascu, MD, MSc (https://www.mayo.edu/research/faculty/dumitrascu-oana-m-m-d/bio-20543860 ) and Dr. Gina Dumkrieger, PhD. We are searching for an individual who is ready to take the analytical lead in this exciting project to identify neuroimaging vascular biomarkers of early AD and digital biomarkers which differentiate early AD from other causes of cognitive impairment. This person will work closely with a cross-disciplinary team of physicians and other researchers, but qualified individuals will have experience working with limited supervision and will contribute actively to the development of the research projects they work on.
The Research Fellow will contribute to new project development, grant writing, data analyses, and scientific manuscripts/presentations (first author and co-author). There will be opportunities to develop independent research projects and grant proposals based on individual research interests. Candidates will participate in training, education, and professional development opportunities available at the Mayo Clinic or Arizona's local top Universities. The Fellow will also receive support to present at professional meetings or other professional development opportunities.
A Research Fellow at Mayo Clinic is a temporary position intended to provide training and education in research. Individuals will train in the research program of a Mayo Clinic principal investigator. Qualified individuals will demonstrate the potential for research as evidenced by their training and peer-reviewed publications and should become competitive for national research grants.
