The department of Radiology at Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a highly qualified, board certified, enthusiastic, fellowship-trained Breast Imaging Radiologist to join our practice. This position will include participation in our Breast Imaging clinical practice which consists of digital mammography/tomosynthesis, breast ultrasound, breast MRI, contrast enhanced digital mammography (CEDM), molecular breast imaging (MBI), image guided needle biopsies and radioactive seed localizations. Responsibilities will also consist of education of our diagnostic radiology residents and breast imaging fellows as well as participation in multidisciplinary conferences and frequent interaction with other members of our breast care team, including surgeons, oncologists, pathologists and primary care clinicians.
The Breast Imaging division currently consists of 5 breast imagers in a busy practice of more than 10,000 screening exams, 4,000 diagnostic exams and 2,000 ultrasounds per year. All of our mammography units have tomosynthesis capability and 2 units are equipped with contrast enhanced mammography. We offer MBI to our dense breast patients and have a growing referral practice for patients recently diagnosed with breast cancer. Numerous research and educational opportunities are available, and radiologists benefit from close working relationships with clinical colleagues, as well as strong physicist/scientist and administrative support.
The ideal candidate would be an early-to-mid career radiologist with successful completion of a breast imaging fellowship who has at least 3 years of post-fellowship clinical experience and expertise in breast imaging. Enthusiasm for and commitment to education, leadership and/or research is also highly desired and sought after.
