Provides onsite emergency department coverage for resuscitations/stroke/alert response along with unit and house code responses. The pharmacist provides critical care overnight monitoring and acts as a resource for the ICU area questions and new orders. Acts as a backup in times of need for the central pharmacy overnight pharmacists.
Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy. Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree or equivalent experience. Equivalent experience includes at least two years of relevant pharmacy practice experience. Computer experience. Committment to excellence, accuracy, attention to detail and team work. Ability to communicate effectively, work collaboratively with others, organize time well, solve problems, and work independently with minimal supervision.
The following are preferred: Completion of an accredited pharmacy residency. Experience of working in a large, progressive academic medical center. History of scholarly activities including publication and scientific meeting presentations. Experience and / or interest in teaching.
License or certification
License to practice Pharmacy in the State of Minnesota or eligibility for licensure.
Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum salary every 2 weeks is approx $4,870.40, based on a full-time position.
3 week rotation: Monday through Sunday overnights for 7 days with 10 hour shifts typically starting at 10 pm; 7 days off; 3rd week in emergency department or ICU float assignments with 10 hour shifts
