Position description
Mayo Clinic Health System in Bloomer, Wisconsin is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Internal Medicine physician to join our Hospitalist team. Family Practice Board Certified/Eligible physicians will also be considered given sufficient inpatient experience.

This physician will provide comprehensive care from admission to discharge for all patients referred to the service.
Primary responsibility to our 25 bed Critical Access Hospital with a Transitional Care Unit in Bloomer, WI. Opportunity may exist to pick up additional shifts at our 205 bed Hospital in Eau Claire.

Details:
  • Seven days on, seven days off, 12 hour workdays
  • No OB, No surgery
  • Admissions: 1-2
  • Night census 16.3 (80% is swing bed, limited acute)
  • Actively participate in call with 3 FM physicians who share night call (1:5)
  • Back up assistance in ED for resuscitations (only expected to use HIM skill set)
  • No ICU
  • 161 shifts required yearly
