Specialized knowledge obtained through on-the-job-training and manufacturer's training is required to maintain nearly all of the equipment assigned to this specialty. Individual must be highly organized, efficient, and multifunctional with the ability to work independently or in a team environment. (Note: This position is similar to that of a field service engineer working for a biomedical equipment vendor. Unlike the field service engineer, this position requires more skills and experience to be competent in the various types of manufacturer's equipment.)
