Position description
This role emphasizes evidence-based, integrated education and clinical practice within an interdisciplinary team committed to the collaborative care of primary care patients’ physical and emotional health needs. This position represents a state-of-the-art primary care educational and practice model that integrates Family Medicine resident training and primary care behavioral health delivery in a rural setting. This position includes joint appointments in the Departments of Family Medicine as well as Psychiatry and Psychology, and an academic appointment in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine.

Approximately 50% of time will be spent as core faculty within the Family Medicine Residency program. Residency-associated responsibilities include innovating and coordinating the integrated behavioral health curriculum for Family Medicine residents, evaluating residents within the Clinical Competency Committee, demonstrating and promoting excellence in education, supporting scholarly activities, and facilitating professional development activities. The educational curriculum would be determined in collaboration with the residency program director.

The remaining 50% of time will be spent in clinical practice, delivering integrated behavioral health and clinical health psychology services in the primary care setting while supported by the Department of Psychiatry and Psychology at Mayo Clinic Health System, Eau Claire Behavioral Health. Opportunities are available for clinical supervision and education of allied health staff.
License or certification
The ideal candidate will have a doctoral degree from an American Psychological Association (APA)-accredited graduate program, an APA-accredited internship, will be eligible for licensure in Wisconsin, and will need to pursue certification from a specialty board of the American Board of Professional Psychology, and complete that process within three years of date of hire. Clinical and educational experience in primary care as well as experience in program development are strongly preferred.
