Position description
The Department of Community Allergy is looking for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the team. This individual will be the first APP to support the practice in the SEMN Region, so will have the opportunity to pioneer this role. Primary clinical location will be in Red Wing, however there may be additional telemedicine and/or face-to-face clinical time in Austin, Albert Lea or Owatonna as this role evolves.
Masters prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and nurse practitioner program. Current MN RN license and certification, (or eligible to be certified), as an ANP or FNP. Licensure must allow provider to see the full spectrum of patients from newborn through geriatrics.

Or graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by the NCCPA and registration as a PA by the MN State Board of Medical Practice. A current registration of temporary permit with the MN State Board of Medical Practice is required.

Must be eligible for DEA registration. Basic Life Support Certification required.

This is a new role within the Department of Community Allergy and we are looking for an individual who is self-directed and motivated. Must be comfortable with ambiguity as this role will likely change over time.
Additional qualifications
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical clinic or hospital is preferred. Previous APP experience and/or Allergy preferred, not required.

Strong written and oral communication skills are required, and must have demonstrated skill in working collaboratively with all members of the healthcare team.
