Position description
The Mayo Clinic Health System Urology Department is seeking an NP or PA to join our practice. The APP will partner with 2 physicians in a collaborative team effort to provide a complete scope of care for urology patients. The provision of care includes but is not limited to prostate diseases management, stone disease management, genito-urinary oncology service, and urinary incontinence.
Qualifications
Masters prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and nurse practitioner program. Current Minnesota RN license and certification, or eligible to be certified, as an ANP, ACNP, or FNP. Or graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by the NCCPA and registration as a PA by the Minnesota State Board of Medical Practice. The NP/PA must be eligible for DEA registration.
Additional qualifications
Possess ability to work independently/autonomously and interdependently with other health care professionals. Have extensive patient assessment skills using diagnostic methods and instruments and possess ability to develop appropriate plan of care, modifying as indicated. Possess effective communication skills and interpersonal skills with patients, families and members of health care team.
