Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
Therapists are responsible for the application of current knowledge, theory, evidence and sound clinical judgment in patient management. The therapist works closely with the patient, family and other members of an interdisciplinary team to provide efficient and effective individualized patient care. Therapists also serve as advocates and promoters of health, wellness, and fitness to all stakeholders. They serve as educators and mentors for therapy students, peers and other medical professionals. The occupational therapist assists with department and program planning.
This position will serve patients in the outpatient Mayo Clinic Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department, as well as,
acute care hospital patients at Mayo Clinic Hospital - Rochester, Methodist Campus.
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program. Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Minnesota as an Occupational Therapist.
Demonstrated skills in the areas of organization, communication, interpersonal relations, leadership, decision making and problem solving.
Prefer board certification in clinical specialty area and/or advanced degree in health care field.
Also prefer active participation within professional organization.
License or certification
Current occupational therapy licensure in the state of Minnesota.
Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum salary every 2 weeks is approx $2,542.40, based on a full-time position.
Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. The OT will work between the outpatient therapy and inpatient therapy practices.
One out of every 4th weekend working Saturday and Sunday 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
One out of every 4th weekend working 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p,m. in the acute care hospital physical medicine and rehabilitation department.
