Assists with didactic and practical training of formal Mayo Clinic of School of Health Science education programs and/or allied health staff education needs within the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology (DLMP). Assist with the development and implementation of lectures using research and best practice information. Maintain competency in both inpatient and outpatient lab service technician related skills.
High school diploma or GED and two years of experience in Laboratory Services or a two-year degree in health-related sciences with experience in phlebotomy. Phlebotomy certification required
Effective oral, written, listening and coaching skills coupled with didactic and "hands on" teaching skills are essential. Good human relation skills are necessary.
License or certification
Phlebotomy certification required
Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum pay rate is $19.65 per hour.
Primary work hours are 2:15pm to 10:45pm. Some flexing of start time may be required to assist with training needs.
Rare. May be required for specialized training needs.
