Position description
The Undergraduate Research Employment Program (UREP) offers undergraduate students interested in the Sciences and Research the opportunity to work at Mayo Clinic for a 10-12 week program. The student performs various support functions in a research laboratory. Duties may include but are not limited to; maintains and cleans equipment and the facility; maintains supply computer database and restocks supplies, data entry. The student will receives direction from the lab Supervisor and Principal Investigator. Works cooperatively with other laboratory personnel and must be responsive to requests for assistance from all levels of allied health staff in the laboratory.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Must be a current Undergraduate student pursuing a degree in science, math, or other relevant degree based upon the needs of the research program and returning to college at the end of their Mayo Clinic employment.
  • A scanned copy of your transcript must be attached to your profile to be considered.
  • A GPA of 3.0 is required to be considered for the program.
  • Selected candidates should plan to start employment on or around June 1st, 2019..
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee.
